They Want To Benefit From Family Practice 18/02/2011

Citizens with Roma and Abdal origin living in tents and shacks under hard conditions in Ataşehir district of İstanbul are unable to benefit from family practice center. Because they can't take their certificate of residence. They also unable to benefit from public hospitals with the exception of emergency patients.

They live in their tents and shacks behind the building of Ataşehir District Governorate. They have had some difficulties to reach public utilities as a result of being unable to take certificate of residence. Today, they have an other problem with starting of family practice implementation.

When they went to Küçükbakkalköy Health Care Center, they learned that the center had been converted to Küçükbakkalköy Family Practice Center. When they went to public hospitals on account of the fact that they were unable to benefit from family practice due to lacking of certificate of residence, they were paradoxically adviced to go closest famil practice center. This actually means to be destitute of health services.

People who live under difficult conditions for many years hope authorities to solve their problems as soon as possible. They empasize that the problem is so urgent due to being widespread of health problems as a result of poverty and the cold season.
