There are 4 basic element in the flag of our web page, Cingeneyiz.org. The 3 Gypsy tent; the Roma girl figure we used as the web page's flag before; the Sun and a blue square.

The 3 Gypsy tent symbolises a figure which has been a living space for Gypsies as commercial nomads during long nomadism times. Nomadic world gypsies have used different instruments from Vagoons to Caravans to transport themselves. However, Gypsy tents had been basic the living space until the other transporting instruments started to be used.

3 Gypsy tents are used with three colour in the flag with the aim of explaning that all differencies of the humanity are included within the Gypsy society. People who are from different races, ethnicities and nations and who speak different languages can be a part of the Gypsy society. There are Gypsies as commercial nomads all over the world.

The Roma girl figure we used in the flag symbolises the Gypsy Woman who is at the centre of the Gypsy community and who represent the Gypsy community with the moral power she has. The Gypsy society is embodied in the existence of the Gypsy woman. The individual and collective power the Gypsy woman has is meaningful for the humanity as much as the Gypsy society.

The blue square symbolises long ways Gysies have left behind. There are signs of Gypsies' long migration all over the world until the nomadism times. The square is blue because blue is the colour of our planet.

The Sun which appears on background of the flag is the future of Gypsies and all the humanity. The sun brings life to all living beings in the nature and it is also a source of hope for the future. The humanity has symbolised its greatest expectations expextations with the rising of the sun. In words of Halide Edip, a famous Turkish writer, "When the night gets the darkest, the sunshine is closer." And today, the hope Gypsies and all the humanity need against big problems we face can only be symbolised with the sun.
