Food Aid Maden For Yahya Kemal Neighbourhood By Kağıthane Municipality
Kağıthane municipality made food aid to residents of Yahya Kemal neighbourhood. Beside residents of Yahya Kemal neighbourhood of Kağıthane district who mostly subsist on scrap and paper collecting, ex-residents of the neighbourhood who left their houses after eviction were also benefited from the food aid of Kağıthane municipality.
Residents of Yahya Kemal Neighbourhood which is one of the oldest Gypsy settlements of İstanbul appreciate the decision of Kağıthane municipality to let ex-residents of the neighbourhood to benefit from the food aid.
It's nice to see that Yahya Kemal neighbourhood, which was found almost 60 years ago with settling of people from various Gypsy settlements like Dolapdere neighbourhood of Beyoğlu district or Sıracevizler neighbourhood of Şişli district, is still alive with its own cultural features and there is still a strong soul of neighborliness.
