Grup Kako Visited Salihli Municipality 02/07/2009

Salihli municipality has announced that they will be sponsoring Grup Kako, a music group competing in the music contest “Ille de Roman olsun” (TN: It is a popular TV competition program for Roman music in Turkey)

This year, there are 13 groups competing in the program that started airing last Sunday and Grup Kako from Salihli is among the contestants. The group performed their first live show with Sevket Uğurçay (vocals), Engin Kandaş (clarinet), Sezgin Kandaş (keyboard), Aşkın Gök (keyboard), Ercan Anguşhan (violin) Damla Uğurçay (dancer) and Perihan Doruk (dancer). “I wish good luck and success to our friends from Şehitler district from our Salihli. They have who made us proud,” said Mustafa Uğur Okay, Mayor of Salihli municipality and declared that the municipality would sponsor the promising group.

Meanwhile, the group members expressed their gratitude to Ahmet Öztekin, Culture and Arts Commission chairman of Salihli municipality and Ibrahim Yüksel, member of the Culture and Arts Commission.
